First Entry

I have lived in Australia for more than 6 years now and a friend of mine who is a teacher at a primary school in Oberpleis, Germany has told me that the school kids are interested in what life is like in Australia. This blog is the communication between the school kids and myself.

I think I should probably start by adding a picture of one of the most iconic sites in Australia - Ayers Rock, or as the Indigenous Aboriginal Australians call it, Uluru.

Uluru is one of the largest monoliths on earth and 374 metres high. While this is not very high compared to some mountain ranges in Europe, it is a very impressive sight because the surrounding landscape is absolutely flat for hundreds of kilometres around Uluru.

It would be great if you could show me some of the important sites from your town.

All the best,

Eric
